According to what the 75-80 year olds told, there was a big cauldron by the fountain in the stream in the village. At that time, a small child fell into the cauldron and drowned, but the cauldron was turned off and turned into a fountain. The name of the village was changed from "Kazanlı Village" to "Kazandere". The village was founded in the last days of the Ottoman Empire by immigrants from what is now Bulgaria. Tekirdağ central district is 35 km from Süleymanpaşa. The economy of a village depends on agriculture and husbandry.

There is no primary school in the village and bussed education is used. The village has drinking water network, but there is no sewerage system. There is no PTT branch or PTT agency. There is no health centers and health posts. The road that provides access to the village is asphalt and there is electricity and fixed telephone in the village.

The population of 2019 is 193 people.
